A tiny little mollusk/sea slug that I managed to find several of at the Blue Heron Bridge, these Flapping Dingbats or Batwing Slugs (Gastropteron chacmolis) only grow to about 3-7mm.

I’ve dragged my feet on posting these for a long time… mainly because they’re not the greatest photos of a really awesome subject. I’d seen photos of the “Shaun the Sheep” nudibranchs in magazines and websites for a while and always wanted to find some…

Headed back to Pacific Northwest waters for some more cold water diving and so I thought maybe it would be a good idea to share some fish photos from the archives before I collect some more… Enjoy!

Not even going to try IDing these… just enjoy the colors and shapes of these beautiful nudis from Bali.

Though not flashy, these Ruddy Ducks were another “new to me” species I photographed at Arcata Marshes in California. The first three are males in their winter colors (apparently their bills turn a baby blue color during breeding season) and the last one is either…

I was not expecting to find lizards in Muir Woods, but indeed there were plenty of them to be found…
