The Acrobat Nudibranch

I’ve been getting reports from my Florida friends that these Harlequin Sea Goddess nudibranchs are back in force at the Blue Heron Bridge this summer. I don’t remember which scientific name was settled on for which species is at The Bridge, but I do remember there was a nice long scientific paper written about it that when I tried to read it just made me even more confused. Anyway – I found this particular one dangling in this slightly precarious position and didn’t have time to switch to video mode, so I just fired off a sequence of stills… But it is cool to see underneath the mantle and see a part of them that normally is hidden.
