I am not sure why this Blackline Fireworm reared up like this – perhaps to increase its ability to catch scents on the currents to search out its next meal or a mate… or maybe this is just a form of fireworm yoga and this is the “Dragon Pose”… Either way, I only ever saw a couple fireworms do this and when this one decided to hold the pose for long enough for me to get a couple snaps, I took advantage of the opportunity.
