Before we get too far away from the Blackline Fireworm post, I want to share some photos of the Bearded Fireworms (Hermodice carunculata). The Bearded Fireworms seem to be much more varied than the Blacklines, often having bodies ranging anywhere from white to pale green to a strong red color, and varying degrees of bristling. They also can grow up to a foot long, though most are less than six inches.
