Anthias are among my favorite fish on the reefs. I wish they were easier to photograph (or that I would have taken more opportunities to try), but here are a couple I managed to photograph. The one is almost definitely the Squarespot Anthias, but the other I am not certain. From some quick research, they seem like a fairly varied family of fish with many different color patterns, which is one of the things I like about them. But I also like their fins and the way they swim in the water.
For now, if you want to see some more, I’d suggest going back and re-watching some of the videos I’ve posted – in particular, I know the Amed Diving Videos post has several clips with different Anthias species.
