Not really a ghost, and not really a pipefish, but these guys are definitely ornate.


Though some quick research says they are actually fairly common, they are rather difficult to find with their very cryptic appearance, so I was lucky to have Iluh to point them out to me. She managed to find us three different color variations… white, black, and red…

Most often they swim vertically like that and tend to just appear to drift along with the current surge. Which makes them a little tough to focus on.
