I recently spent a weekend in upstate New York visiting my friend Philippe, and we spent some time out hiking. First we visited a trail outside Old Forge, NY and while there was plenty of water flowing everywhere (including right down the trail path), I didn’t take any photos of waterfalls there.
But I did take a nice panoramic photo of Mays Pond…

Then on the way back to Peep’s place I noticed a sign for Pixely Falls State Park, so we decided to stop there.
The main feature of the park is a fairly impressive 50 foot waterfall.

And of course there are other smaller cascades as well…

When I looked up the park online, I found that it is right along the North Country Trail, so I suppose if I decide to hike that long distance I might wander right through the area again some day.
