Oh yeah… I went to that Paris place…
Actually, the day I arrived, the one lady who sold me my metro tickets mentioned that they were going to be doing a light show on the Eiffel Tower to celebrate its 130th anniversary. At the time, I didn’t think too much about it, it was a Thursday I think, and I figured it was something they would do all weekend. Luckily, I looked it up and found out that that night was the last night for it.
They did all kinds of different patterns. I took some video, but it is rather shaky, so until I get something to stabilize it, I’m not going to share… (sorry, perfectionist)
Though, when they light it up on a regular night, it looks pretty cool too. This next one is from Trocadero which is across the river from the tower and elevated. I went up there most mornings hoping to get some sunrise photos with the tower, but no such luck.
The Lourve at night is pretty as well…
And on my last evening in Paris, as I was walking back to the hotel I glanced back over my shoulder at the Eiffel Tower one last time, and caught this bridge that reminded me a little of the bridges in Pittsburgh, so I had to grab one more photo…
