Otherwise known as the Madagascar Spiny Tailed Iguana…

We saw them during a tour of an arboretum outside of Toliara, and the guide there said that they will be going into about a three month hibernation here in a couple more weeks as the weather gets cooler, so it was nice to get to see this endemic Malagasy species while here.
