Black Capuchin Monkey or Macaco Prego Preto in Portugese (Sapajus nigritus) spotted in Parque Nacional da Serra dos Órgãos during one of our first hikes. We spotted a second one (the last two photos) but I did not get very good photos of it. In fact the one that was closer to us and I did get more photos was difficult because the tree cover was so thick that it was a rather low light photography situation and a black monkey made it even harder. But it was still fun to watch this little guy eating palm hearts.
