I told you that these guys are one of my favorite fish even though they are quite common. This shot also comes from wandering around in the tide pools during low tide. I actually found a small tabular coral (which is where these guys usually hang out) and it had a small group of Indian Dascyllus swimming in it, and I instantly loved the viewpoint looking down on the coral and seeing the fish moving through the columns.
It ends up being a bit more abstract, but to be honest, this is one of my favorite photos I’ve taken on this trip so far… just a tad more artistic than standard identification shots.
