Ok – a bit a treat for you here for this and the next post… while working on my Dive Master certification here at La Bila, I’ve also had the opportunity to do some fun dives with some of the guests and I’ve made a couple videos for them.
This first one is for Adrienne & Julia, a couple Americans who are living in South East Asia working as teachers and came and did a couple dives with us.
Fun note… the clips from the USAT Libery dive were shot by Juan because I was actually functioning as the dive leader as part of my dive master training, which was my first time doing so.
Thanks to Adrienne and Julia for some great dives!

February 28, 2025 at 11:55amDear William – You may not be aware of this by Adrienne died in February 2024. She was scuba diving in Thailand with Julia and suddenly, unexpectedly died. She was doing what she loved, where she loved and with those she loved! Your video is a tribute to her love of the ocean.

February 28, 2025 at 6:41pmThis is sad news indeed! I remember those dives with Adrienne and Julia – and I remember Adrienne’s energy and enthusiasm being contagious. Those were my first dives as the lead guide during my dive master training, so I was obviously a bit nervous. I specifically remember during the dive briefing for the first dive, that I was extremely nervous and stumbled through the briefing, but their excitement to go dive helped to overshadow that, and I was genuinely lucky to have such fun divers to work with for those dives. I will pass this sad news on to Iluh and Juan (the dive instructors from La Bila Dive Resort). My sincerely condolences.
