Another Aquarium Photo

Got a photo to share today from my small point and shoot camera.
It is still one of my favorite photos, and it goes along with yesterday's photo.
Technical Data: Canon PowerShot SD800 IS Digital Elph at 9.11mm, 1/20 sec at f/4, ISO Auto. No post production. Georgia Aquarium, Atlanta, GA.
I just love the silhouette of this whale shark with the rays of light shining around it.
It makes me want to go diving.
Soon.

whale Sharks have always been my fav shark. The placement of the light behind the shark is great, but the fact that you seem to be underneath it is what's awesome. Too bad it weren't sharper! Awesome image.
Well, actually I was underneath the shark when taking the photo. Georgia Aquarium's Ocean Voyager area (where the whale sharks and manta ray are) features a 100 foot long tunnel through the 6.3 million gallon aquarium.
The lights are actually tough to get to look like they do in this photo since there are banks and banks of high intensity lights in the hangar sized room over the aquarium. I liked being able to isolate this one light to make it appear as if it were sunlight.
I do regret that the image isn't sharper, but it does have the effect of making the photo look like it was actually taken in the water (though it was not).

I have tried many times to take pictures in tunnels in aquariums. I haven't had much luck and consider this a good photo given the difficulty of the location. The lighting presents major challenges, as does the often curved viewing surface at the top of the tunnel.
